FAQs

I believe everyone can gain something from Pilates. By learning correct technique, we can begin to relieve the stresses and strains we put our bodies under every day — whether we’re sitting at a desk all day, driving for miles or simply living with less than ideal posture. Pilates can help with existing injuries, injury prevention, and even pre-surgery preparation.

If you have a medical condition and are currently under a consultant or doctor, you’ll need to discuss this with me first to establish if a class or one-to-one lessons would be best for you.

Do let me know if you’ve done Pilates before. Pilates has become extremely popular and there are many different ways of teaching. You can rest assured that my qualifications with leading Pilates organisation Body Control mean you are in very safe hands.

No. I accept referrals from many other healthcare professionals including chiropractors, physiotherapists, osteopaths and consultants. If you don’t have a referral simply contact me direct to discuss the best way for you to start Pilates. Either drop me an email (hyperlink) or call me on 07831 869559 to arrange a chat.

I have small classes of up to 10 people. This allows me to observe, correct technique, and ensure each client gets the very best from each session.

Yes, I take great care to ensure government guidelines are adhered to at all times. This will be discussed before attending.

Unfortunately, I don’t offer one-off classes. Pilates works best as a regular practice where I can help you improve a little more each time. I recommend booking a regular class so you can see your progress and get the most from your work.

Absolutely. We’ve had very successful lessons on Zoom during the pandemic and will continue to offer classes online going forward.

Come wearing comfortable clothes and socks. You will need to remove shoes/trainers.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it to a class. You can easily swap your class to another time.

Or leave Debbie a message on 07831 869559 and she’ll get back to you for a chat about getting started
